Bio

James Sullivan is a San Diego native, working primarily in Southern California. His images foster vibrant dynamic colors intended to be a refuge for introspection to escape in. His work has developed into a unique hybrid combining contemporary modern art with a street style.
James is an independent artist with more than 80 pieces exhibited in multiple art galleries, salons, restaurants and coffee shops throughout the US. He visits businesses in person to advertise shows in local affluent areas. He creates and distributes promotional materials for exhibits and employs multi-platform marketing, including social media integration.
James has successfully sold approximately 75% of pieces available for sale in the past eight years while providing galleries with newly created work.He has been sought after and spotlighted in known galleries.
James’ work epitomizes a multitude of creative disciplines. His work has been cultivated by artists, architects, authors and musicians such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Robert Rauschenberg, Patrick Nagel, I.M Pei, Hunter Thompson, Talking Heads and Beach House.
